Aww. That certainly was dramatic! If I wasn't already a hardcore Jenny/Brad supporter, I'd love the Jennifer/Luke pairing! Luke's so in love with her... I can see his present self narrating that Brad is one lucky guy to have Jenny.
I gotta say, the conversation between Jenny and Mr. Greer reminds me of the most recent "Puffy AmiYumi" episode. It's kinda funny that Jenny doesn't believe that she'll find a better boyfriend than Luke, and yet when she's revived in Phoenix Fire, that's exactly what happens!
And it sounds fitting that Greg would be named after his grandfather. Does this mean that June is named after someone on Jenny's family tree?
I'm kinda puzzled by the way time works here, though. Nora mentioned in Phoenix Fire that the present time had been eight years since the accident, and that "the day [Nora] designed [XJ-9's] schematics was the third anniversary of [Jennifer's] accident", which is about right, since Jenny did mention in the episode "I Was a Preschool Dropout" that she had been built five years ago. But how old would that make Brad? You have him as a three-year-old in this flashback, but if eight years really passed between this and Phoenix Fire, that would mean Brad would only be 11 years old then! Logically (if we assume Brad is supposed to be the same age as Jenny in the present), he'd have to be at most eight years old here (Tuck's current age, perhaps?). And it probably gets even more confusing when you remember that a whole year passed in the Christmas special... Ugh, it's just like the time confusion in "Beauty and the Beast".
Anyway, I hope to see the second chapter, which I assume shows what happened after Phoenix Fire, soon. I can almost picture Jenny telling Luke the same words that Mr. Greer told her in the beginning! Oh, and the other MLaaTR fic you mentioned in the foreword? That's the fluffy PF side-story you're working on, right? Can't wait to read that either! Luvya!
