Ran across the Barista series yesterday and have basically read both series back to back... now I'm heartbroken to realize that this was last updated in '07. Will there someday be more Kira? She's one of the best OCs I've ever read. And the series really catches the Jack & Daniel rapport so well. I'm going to Follow this and cross my fingers that one day I'll find a notice in my email box that Kira has returned.

Another great set of Chapters here. It is certainly different in nature than Barista, but it is still interesting to get an outsiders perspective of SG-1. It is also nice because, having already read Barista, we already care for Kira, who is as interesting as ever. I know you haven't touched this in a while, but I would someday like to see a "Assistant" for Fallen and Season 7. Whatever you end up doing, thank you for what you have so far put together and posted. The only obvious error I have found is that occasionally it says level ... but there is no number, which tends to be more an annoying error than anything else.

WOW! Well I was so not expecting her to get hurt during a flash back...well...I WAS expecting something once she couldn't find the cheese slicer...but prior to that I was not! I was cooking dinner, and so I was going back and forth between reading a few paragraphs and cooking...and then all of a sudden wham! SO...of course, I loved it..as it involves our favorite 3 characters and I'm curious to see whether Jack takes care of the rumors so that they can enjoy their time in the infirmary. She gets to be in the infirmary! Without having to go off world!
Thank you for continuing the stories...I have been enjoying them. ;-)

I love this series and although I doubt anymore of it is coming after this long, Im still hoping.

Having someone else defend you is hard, esspecially when that person is not a a close family member and not a teacher, but happens to be just someone that you met two weeks ago. At first you get a heady feeling of FINNALLY SOMEONE IS DEFENDING ME! up until they say something even minutely wrong. It hurts, especially if most of your social life is based on making friends, and you blurt out something stupid like STOP! and you can't even articulate what happened with uncontrollabble tears streaming down your face with a smug bully over your shoulder and you're in the tenth grade. I know... it bites, especially when you don't evenn remember what your defender said that was so wrong you've ended up hurting them because of it. So I agree with Jack's method of defending Kira's honor; never give the bully facts with which he can convince others of HIS ideas; aka don't give 'em any fodder. -jwb-

I have to admit, I was rather disinclined to read this (and The Barista before it) based off the strange premise. But I'm really, really glad I went ahead with it.

The two stories are probably the two best fics I've read in months. Thank you for the wonderful work you did. The characterization, the humor... everything was great. Seeing the world of SG1 through the eyes of someone related but uninformed was really refreshing- not that I'm unhappy that Kira is now part of things, mind you.

so does drixell have a thing for kira? and when will daniel be returning? are you still working on this?

So... 4 and a half years later... I love this series, and I really hope you haven't forgotten about it. Kira rocks something fierce, and I really hope she ends up in a relationship... (Jonas would be a good choice... Hint hint!) Hope to see more SOON!

I don't know if you check these any longer, but thought I'd take the chance to drop you a note anyway. I remember reading this story and waiting for your updates several years ago. (Wow, it's been a while, hasn't it?) This story popped into my mind today, so I sat down and read both fics in their entirety. Even if you never update again, Kira remains one of my top favorite and most well written OCs of any fandom, even as I enter my 13th year of reading them. I get the sense from your author's notes that you've had some personal trouble, and the fact that you still found the time to write such an amazing story that continues to entertain even to this day is awesome.

Your stories have me hooked. You're a very good writer. Its time for some more chapters! Please and thank you!
