Sad but beautiful.

Wow. That was great. I've recently developed a love for Ikuko and I was shocked at how little she's dealt with, especially after the advent of Crystal Tokyo. Ah, but this...this I can see. Ikuko succumbing to the ravages of age while Serenity looks on. And Shingo and Kenji...how sad!

But the interaction between Ikuko and Kenji was beautiful. Wonderfully bittersweet and poignant. Turned out Serenity gave her the castle.
