Wow. Okay, when I was reading, it I wasn't expecting that at all. I thought it was kind of simple and cute and like aw, Mimi likes roses, but i didn't expect the end and just...wow. Mark is my favorite character, and a rose is just exactly who he is. Especially the way you described the rose. And I just didn't expect the edning. Suprisingly perfect.

Aw...this is adorable! I love to see things like this, there's not enough Mark/Mimi friendlove out there. You really kept them in character perfectly and that ending line was beautiful.

I don't know if you ever do this. When I find an author that I particuarly like, I tend to go through all the stories they've written.

Mimi's characterization is spot-on, for the most part. (I say for the most part because this interpretation of her rides mainly on which Mimi you imagine in the role. Rosario definitely, Daphne or Antonique not so much.) It was beautifully written, as well.

And Ma--ark. You just have him *pinned*. I love how you are able to do that *without* having him angsting over Roger or an OC. (Not that I don't enjoy at least that 1st one.)

You've got something really unique in this story, and that's Mimi living after Roger. Usually authors have her die first, and Roger shut down or crash out, so it's interesting to see her without him, but living no matter how much it hurts.

It seems perfect, too, that Mark remembered something that happened in concurrence with one of the most awful nights of his life. And as a Rose, I love what you've done with them ;)!
