Wow... that was not what I expected at all. I was cracking up though. Really, what a match up, Ikkaku as Imhotep, right? That was something I never expected. And it amused me greatly. Very good, and well written. He's not someone I would think of Ikkaku as, and yet he fits perfect as him in some strange way.

I loved your description of Evy, by the way. "This was a woman who started plagues just by reading." Very, very well put. xD

The first parts of the story had me grinning like mad because all those complaints, all those thugs being too civil in the pub, was just 100% Ikaku--or anyone from the 11th Division for that matter. He's still him, and though I don't usually like crossover, I found myself liking this one very fast. Well done.

Finally, after years of searching, I have found a fan fiction dedicated to Ikkaku. Thank heavens. Do you know of any others?

Heh... This fic is awesomely cute so far although I'm a little confused on who Ikkaku was supposed to be.. Imhotep?? A random mindless mummy raised from the dead by Imhotep?? 0.o Anyway, it's interesting to have an x-over with these two. I remember I used to be so obsessed with The Mummy.. this is a fantastic beginning and although I'm not usually one for crossovers, I adore Ikkaku too much not to have read this! For a moment there, i was sort of hoping she was Nemu or something (IkkakuNemu all the way!!) but your idea is loads better!
