I love this. I loved her telling Jayne and Mal that "The boy with a girl's name didn't need them anymore" referring to Jaynes porn pictures and not Jayne nor Mal picking up on that meaning and what she was hinting at. :)

I love the simplicity of these vignettes. They're very truthsome and, in a way, very poignant. You've captured the subtle side of the Jayne/River pairing very well. Beautiful.

i really like this so far, i think it has a lot of potential. but i think each chapter is way too short. i'm not even asking for plot necessarily maybe just more character study stuff.

there is one thing that i really liked in this chapter, and that's the way you focused on jayne's sense of smell. if you watch him throughout the series he's always smelling things - he's a very physical person, but it rarely pops up in fan fiction. i always wonder why not because it's such an interesting personality trait.

anyway i hope that review helped! i'm waiting for the next chapter, update soon :)
