Kind of odd that they hadn't discussed having children until AFTER they were married. Then again, that assumes they had a certain kind of common sense that, unfortunately, isn't all that common.

Good! The ending line was very clever right there. I bow to you in grattitude for your choice of pairing, and you do a remarkable job in setting the mood, the easy, vivid past opposing the opressive present. Good piece of fic.

Constructive criticism: There are a number of places where your choice of words is awkward, such as repeating "leave" several times in the beginning of the story. Fic needs a brushup in that regard. If you should decide to write a v. 2.0, please let me know!
