Great story can't wait for the next chapter but i think you may have a typeo in the chapter because you using the word faith and that does not make a hole lot of sense, i think you ment to write fate because that make sense in the context that you are writeing the story in.

I feel the need to tell you though that Garinel wouldn't be a male name for an elf. Elvish names that end with -el are feminine names. (You should also let Nevilla's name end on -el or -en at least.)
