Definitely a good pairing, but what I really liked was how you set the scene. And the easy back-and-forth dialogue was perfect, and hard to find in fanfic these days. Well done in all respects.

This is such a sweet story. you handeled it very delicately. AS the reader I can vivedly see the characters doing exactly what they are supposed to be doing, without constraint on the writer's part. You made this story seem effortless, which in reallity, could be a real chalange. This was a pleasure to read, and re-read.

Ah! This made me really happy. I've been replaying the game the past week or so, and I remembered my love for this pairing, since it was so obvious in the game. But at the same time, it's sort of subtle, and you have to read into it, so it's nice.

It was wonderful, seriously. I found myself at a loss of how to write it, so I wasn't going to, because I wasn't sure how they would interact, but you answered my question perfectly. Aila's really funny, and I liked how you brought out her bold, no-beating-around-the-bush personality here, and how Jacques was so like himself. He always makes me laugh, and this didn't stop me, either.

Flowed really nice, and my favorite bits were Aila's "Um, why?", Jacque's stubble, and when she looked up to find him close. Just... neat structure. Easy to get lost in.

Through a sea of endless romance fics about Hugo/Chris, Borus/Chris and Percival/Chris, shines forth a fic about the underused pairing of Jacques/Aila!

I'm a sucker for romance fics (as long as the pairing's straight), but my favourite are the ones that aren't given as much attention as some of the others (Jacques/Aila, Thomas/Cecile, etc). I love the fic mainly for that reason. ^_^

I really like the story!
