Gipsy_chan 2007-02-10 . chapter 6 Hey, BabyPenguin! It's been a long time, huh? Well, I'm back, and glad you repost this fic. Hahaha, I laughed a lot, this story keeps so funny. I still support the idea of the Meilin/Tori couple, but you can make it slowly: romantic moments between them in some chapters of Season One, a little bit more in Season Two and finally together in the final. Oh, one more thing: As you can see, my English is not very good because is not my language: I speak Spanish. So, I'm going to give you a little help with the phrases of the soap opera the gang was watching... That is if you don't mind... OK! Vamos, amigos! (Gipsy-chan appears dressed like Dora the Explorer with a pointer, a chalk, a blackboard and a stereo)
“Ah Regorio, mi esperanza, mi amor, mi vida!” (Oh Regorio, my hope, my love, my life!)
“Amanda, ¿que no sabe usted que estoy casado con su hermana…?” (Amanda, don’t you know I am married to your sister?)
“Pero… Yo lo amo tanto,¡ tómeme en sus brazos hasta alba!” (But…I love you, so much, hold me until dawn!)
*In Spanish, Hold is “Tomar/Sujetar/Agarrar” (Different of Tomar = drink). Example: “Hold my hand” = “Toma mi mano”, “Sujeta mi mano”, “Agarra mi mano”. But if I translate it this way: “Tómeme hasta el alba”, it sounds like “** me until dawn” (If a woman says “Tómame” to a man, it REALLY means that). If I choose “Sujétame hasta el alba”/”Agárrame hasta el alma”, it sounds worst. Besides, “Hold me” is more equivalent to “Hug me”, no? So “Tómeme en sus brazos” is a mixed translation between Hold me and Hug me... Well, that's the idea
“Por supuesto que la amo, preferiría tener a usted que a su hermana.” (Of course I love you, I’d rather have you than your sister)
“Oh, Regorio…” (Oh Regorio. Duh)
“Béseme, Amanda…” (Kiss me, Amanda)
“¡Regorio! ¡Amanda! ¿Qué pasa aquí? ¿Por qué se besaban?” (Regorio! Amanda! What is going on here? Why were you kissing?)
“¡Hermana menor! ¡Esto no es lo que parece!” (Younger sister! This isn’t what it looks like!)
And here ends Class 1. See you at the next lesson, and PLEASE, update soon |
