Wow. That was really cool. So much suspense and even though you never got too deep with the characters, you still managed to catch the right tone to leave the impression that you did say everything about them.

Did this make sense? I hope so, I liked this fic a lot, so I'm going to look up more of your work.

Wow, I haven't read a really good ghost story in a long time and I am so happy that I found this story!

You wrote an awesome ghost story but I also loved all the family drama and brotherly angst that you wove so perfectly into the story.

You truly have a gift for writing and a vivid imagination for storytelling...your descriptions were so clear that I could picture the scene at the lighthouse fully in my mind.

Wonderful job writing the boys, you kept them both true to character but at the same time alloweed their masks to slip so we readers could catch a glimpse of their fears and their pain.

Absolutely loved it and I hope that you write another multi chapter fic soon.
Cookies for you and your brilliant writing!!

2007-04-13 . chapter 1
Sammy went to school and is empowered by textbook knowledge but Dean is NOT dumb. He's very clever and what Sam possesses in book knowledge is rivaled by Deans common sense and knowledge of the physical and otherworldly kind.

Part of his brother (Sam) enjoys the intellectual superiority he holds over Dean -- it's the only kind he has -- and Dean isn't going to take that away from him. It doesn't bother him: compromise is giving away little pieces of your soul, but he'd gladly give the entire thing.

Dean has a tendency to be gung-ho. Sam tends to overthink. Together, the brothers temper each other well.

Sam should learn to trust Dean's instincts they are always right on the mark...

Well written and great start to the story.

Just finished this and that was REALLY well done. I love the way you made a compelling ghost story. Long, plot driven gen fics are just so interesting when done right.

Awesome story! I couldn't stop reading at all - went from start to finish :D Loved how you wrote all the characters - you got Sam and Dean spot on. And the ghostly mystery was very intriguing!

Fantastic writing :D

So nice to have it finished well...a nice meaty epilogue where it's not all explaining everything, but also has some good, believable moments. I've taken ferries more times than I care to remember, but not lately, and it brought a huge pang of homesickness for me. Looking forward to what you've got coming up next. Thanks for the good read.

that was an amazing fic and i am truly sad to see it go. i plan to archive this in the C2 Supernatural : Best of the Best, if you rather I didn't for whatever reason just let me know and I wont. I loved the ending, how it gave you the feel of everything not perfect but they're togather and really, thats whats important. This was a really great fic, amazing job all the way through!

Kira,

This has been simply one of the best FF stories that I have the pleasure to read - thank you so much for giving me the chance to greedily devour this story which as a whole has been nigh perfect. You crawled into the minds of those brothers and helped populate their world with real OC and ghosts so haunting that still they linger in the mind, offering up a past history so sad for them that it made their presence in the real world just so much more scarier. And truly the fear you generated with the telling of this haunting was heartpoundingly palpable. Heart in mouth stuff. And what a gentle ending, that allowed the heart to settle, the wet palms to dry, allowing the brothers to acknowledge each others fears and their own uniqueness before they carried on with their travels. Thanks again for a truly inspiring read. More soon demanded from you pen soon...PLEASE!

I was so glad to see another chapter up! I went and reread the whole story. I especially enjoyed the way you portrayed the brothers' relationship as loving but complicated. Many fanfic, in my opinion, tend to oversimplify their relationship as conflict free and full of mutual respect/appreciation/etc. Perhaps someday it will be at that level but as the show protrays it, there's still aways to go. There's a lot of resentment, especially on Sam's part- "Asylum" really demonstrated that. But Sam is also growing into an adult role and I think you captured that in your story, as he comes to see Dean in a different light.

Looking forward to your next chapter and epilogue-hopefully up soon? (And your next story as well!)

Up to this point, I love this story. It is very well written.
I never really thought about their other family members until now. I think this is a very creative idea.
I can't wait to finish the story.
