Wow... it's just so... wow...!! I've just finished reading it, and I must give my friends right in one thing; this is one of the most beautiful stories ever written. I really love it, it's wonderful, and I can't wait to read some more stories from you.

Zoro is awesome!

I literally just read the part in ch. 11 where luffy starts sobbing and I loved how you made the slight OOCness in character. Just wanted to point that out... MUST GET BACK TO STORY!

An edit? It's an absolutely perfect ending, as it always was!
Anyways, it's great to hear news from you again. I got all excited and stuff with you updating! Haha, I can't express how wonderful this story is, and how many times I've actually read it over and over.

I actually enjoy how this heads into the sequel, and gives off hints and foreshadowing. I can't wait to read your new book. Also, good luck with your original novels. I really would love to read them also, I'm sure I'd just be sucked right in, as I am with your fanfiction. Do we get the titles of your books? or is it staying a mystery? :)

hmm, i just want to thank you for this chapter...
well, i was kinda down because of school thingie, & the yucky food my guardian served, but i was actually cheered up a little when i was reading the part in which Zoro realized that Luffy was missing.
:), i just thought it was funny when i imagined the crew's frozen and panicking scene(+Sanji's teasing act, of course). ^^
however, i still dont understand what u meant by Luffy losing the war. because he succumbed to the attack?
didnt he kind of win(the rat gone, he turned back to his original size)?

I don't have words to describe how much I love this story. I like how you kept all of the characters in character and how you did the tender moments. Your descriptions were perfect. I hope that your other stories are this good.

Overall, I found the plot and the writing style to be exceptionally good; I like the stories that move slowly and take the time to truly delve into the relationships between the characters-- and not just the one between the leading couple. I liked the dramatic atmosphere; I was cheering Luffy along as he climbed up the mast, and I'm pretty sure I stopped breathing for a while when his heart stopped after the rat attack and his return to normal size. Everyone's personality was well-rounded, and they just seemed... real. The story flowed very nicely, and I really love the way Luffy and Zoro just get together at the end. Very beautiful.

But while the plot and style were quite enjoyable, I strongly suggest going over this thoroughly with a capable proofreader. Throughout the story I noticed common, but consistent, errors in usage: their versus they're, your versus you're, and to versus too, to name a few. And sometimes there were a few instances where the words were repeated, or sentences were not complete, etc... I don't think they take away from the lovely plot too much, but I think the writing would be dramatically improved and made even more enjoyable if those matters were addressed.

One last note: I understand that you want to use the Japanese phrases because you feel they convey the thoughts better than in English, but, and this is just my opinion, they kind of take away slightly from the dialogue. Titles and objects with no English version are one thing, but people generally don't switch between languages in the middle of sentences like that, unless the person is foreign and the language barrier is just a part of his or her characterization. Like Shampoo's broken speech, in Ranma 1/2. While you do give translations, or make it possible to figure out meanings from in-context dialogue, it sort of takes away from the smooth flow of reading it. Though I do know some Japanese, I couldn't help but find myself pausing on the foreign phrases to make sure I was actually getting the correct meaning. Know what I mean?

To sum everything up, I think it's a lovely story that just needs a little... smoothing over, you know? I greatly enjoyed reading it! :D :D :D
