Interesting concept. Definitely something I can see Erik taking part of, Leroux Erik more than any other. Very well though of.

ho hum... did someone watch "From Hell" not long before writing this? Or did you otherwise have an interest in Ripperology?
Either way, I think it was well done. You're a really good writer.

i love the fact that you used "Jack the Ripper" to fashion Erik into, well, Jack the Riper... it kinda makes sense, given the era and his lack of mental stability... i really like it! bravo!!

*whistles* What a plot, what a phic...That was truly an original, and disturbing, idea. Very good, but disturbing. Erik's character, I think, is rather close to flawless in this. Nice job.

Usually I don't go for morbidity (yet I'm an Edger Allen Poe fan. Go figure.) but this was really good. Sick, but good. I can see Erik doing this sort of thing, expectially a Kay Erik. The idea of him being Jack the Ripper is brilliant! Good job.

Oh my god, that's absolutely revolting!... and I loved every word of it. It's hard to find such disgusting stories, come to think of it. But most of the time, insanity goes along with distateful gore, and THAT is what makes it completely hideous. Thank you, I needed this. Not that I'd EVER be able to write anything like this (I'd probably make myself puke), but every once in a while I have to read one like this just to get the "oh I love you Erik!" out of my head!

You've done a fine job of presenting a macabre tale in a convincing manner. The tone you set was appropriately surreal. I thought your blending of the tales of Jack and Erik was plausible. I also realize that you may have left an opening for the continued madness in Sweden. Have you considered writing a sequel? Was it difficult to write this story? ~ML

What an interesting bit of macabre reading. I like the way you blended the story of Jack the Ripper with that of the Phantom, how you were able to get into the mind of a madman. Very well written. Thank you for posting.

This story had my jaw dropping open when I read it in the contest. It's SO well-done! The twisted logic process Jack/Erik follows regarding his "thesis" makes its own kind of scary, insane sense. I thought you handled this expertly.
