This piece was very well written. I like the characterization you have here with Kurt and Raven/Mystique. It's been a while before I last saw a human-and I use the word metaphorically-side to Mystique, much less a motherly side to her (the last time was during the original 90s series).

I think you used the Nickleback song quite well to craft this piece and guide the relationship between them.

I found this story to be very touching, and while I am not a fan of song-fics, I must say that you chose a very fitting one for the story that you wrote. I know that this has been a long time posted, but it would be interesting to see what else you might have been able to play with in regards to this story, such as Mystique/Raven's meeting with the Sefton's...seeing what else is going on with the Xavier Institute these days...Kurt and Rogue/Anna-Marie's odd relationship probably getting even more complex as Mystique tries to re-enter the picture. I can just imagine the confrontation between Mystique and Gambit in regards to her daughter.

This is a very nice fic. Do you know where I can find any others where Mystqiues children are more forgiving?

Nice oneshot here! I really liked it. The song was one of my favorite. Nickelback RULES! It was very emotional, very angsty, and very dramatic. And the end perfectly tied everything together.
