Without a doubt, Saito's and Kagoro's are my favorites. The old wolf really doesn't have anyone to turn to that understands him if the Battousai is gone. And not in the romantic sense, but in the way men seek out others that understand the way they think to show themselves they aren't alone in the world. Who else living has gone through the same things those two have? There's a sense of pleading, of losing hope.

So very like her! She is, to my mind anyway, less prone to the funk that so easily besets Kenshin and, to a lesser degree, Sano, but she is not without her own way of carrying a burden, and this tiny thought: "I can eventually break even", sounds just like the kind of door she would find to her atonement journey.

I am stunned. I had no idea acrostic poetry could hold so much power... I cannot even pick a favourite... Now I think I shall try some too.

I like this one. It is short, and sweet and completely sums up how Misao feels throughtout the series! Great job!

I love acrostic poems!! -glomps- I especially liked the ones for Hiko and Battousai, they were really insightful to their personalities and their thoughts. The one for Kaoru just made me laugh, and Enishi's was very chilling in how short and to the point it was. Are you going to put one up for Sano? That would be an interesting one to read as well :D Awesome job!

I am impressed that you can condense a ball of energy into 16 words.

I love that the goal of _her_ searching is hoped to result in _his_ "finding"! It lends a whole new depth to her view of what she's doing, even if it is (as this poem really makes it seem) all subconscious. I also like how it builds from the tiny snippets of lines--uncertain, wavering bits of thought--to that final long, all-in-one-breath one that is SO like her!

Poetry! :D The short lines of Shishio's acrostic definitely gave it an appropriately sharp, terse, perhaps even weighty, feel. And Saito's character is pitch perfect, of course. Demanding with a hint of desperate wistfulness... that's one way to summarize it, anyway. ^^
