CrayonMentality 5/30/08 . chapter 24"So Gúthwyn smiled, but it was not for happiness, and there was no sparkle in her suddenly cold eyes." Ah, brilliant ending. You truly have a tremendous amount of talent. Thanks for writing. |
Olivia 2/21/08 . chapter 24 This installment was just as enjoyable as the first! I liked seeing the Legolas-Guthwyn relationship become more tense. I hope that Guthwyn will forgive him, though I can see how it would be so difficult for her. I hope that she doesn't end up with Tun; there just isn't a special connection between the two as there was with Guthwyn and Borogor. Poor Guthwyn. It broke my heart when Aragorn threatened to rip up Beregil's poem! I am really excited to see how she reacts to the Eowyn-Faramir couple. I am sure that the third part of the trilogy will be as captivating as the first two! I had only one confusion: when her sword was referred to as Framwine. I thought that in Alone she had named it Glamthaus on her twelfth birthday. |
Aganippe 12/20/07 . chapter 1Let me just say that: a) You're amazing. b) You're an amazing author. c) And you're amazing. You seriously excelled at what I only dream of accomplishing: Creating a brilliantly written epic tale that's (ha, I'm redundant, but what the hell?) AMAZING. I salute you. |

legolasandbregolover 7/9/06 . chapter 24 These stories amaze me. You capture everything perfectly. The battle scenes, the fierce pride of the Rohirrim, Guthwyn's intense fear. In the first part the way you portrayed Haldor was stunning. You get so engrossed in this story that it seems real. This could have actually happened. It's perfectly realistic, the way her mind and body reacted to the things she was subject to. I love the way that she seems to be getting better but than something happens that reinstates her fears and how she has trouble adjusting. This actually happens, my mom is a counselor who does stuff with soldiers coming hime from the war and how they have fears, horrors that they are scared to talk about, how they have nightmares, you can't just pick your life back up. I usually have critisicm for stories, but grammer, punctuation, usage, everything was , have one of my stupid quotes that I picked up somewhere. Then I'm off to read I and epilogue. "Life is not judged by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away." This was one of those moments for me. Thank you. |
Orion'slover 4/3/06 . chapter 24loved it, couldn't stop reading it, looked forward to it everyday |
Pen52 4/2/06 . chapter 23Great writing. The aftermath of this should be interesting. |
Callie 3/30/06 . chapter 1 Great battle scenes. I always considered the decision not to allow any of the women to join the battle a bit inbecillic to be honest. I mean, they were arming children and they had women (Eowyn comes to mind) who had been trained (at least somewhat) to fight. If kids of twelve were considered old enough to be slaughtered in the defense of their homes and families, why couldn't the women lend a hand? It just pisses me off. Honesty, what's better? Waiting for your presumably inevitable death in some dank cave, or getting a chance to at least go down fighting? Anyway, that's the end of my mini-rant. The aftermath of the battle should prove interesting. The arrival of Eomer, the discovery that Guthwyn in fact did not go in to the caves (you go girl!)... Can't wait! Update soon. |
Pen52 3/24/06 . chapter 16And I'm on line again. *Sigh* Great writing, as allways. |
LuckyThirteen 3/23/06 . chapter 15Buwahaha. The wargs. I wonder if Tun will confront Legolas about Gúthwyn's fear of him? Or maybe he'll die in the warg attack? :gasp: Poor girl. Once again, can't wait for the next chapter! |
Pen52 3/21/06 . chapter 14How the hell do you manage to update this often? Not that I'm complaining or anything... Just to reiterate. This is my favourite piece of LOTR fiction ever. I keep trying not to go online for a few days to let a couple of more chapters upload, so I would have more of your wonderful story to read. Can't do it, you suck me back in every time. If that's not good writing I don't know what is. |
Jedi Padfoot 3/21/06 . chapter 14Great chapter. |
LuckyThirteen 3/21/06 . chapter 14I'm just itching to get to the action. Is this going to be a Legolas/Gúthwyn romance? Interesting... Can't wait for the next chapter! |
Jedi Padfoot 3/20/06 . chapter 13YAY! An another update. The chapter was great, but I found it a little too short. |
LuckyThirteen 3/20/06 . chapter 13I wonder when she'll tell someone about the Haldor thing. That's something I'm definitely looking forward to. Once again, another spectacular chapter in this story. You just single-handedly dragged me down the path of the Lord of the Rings junkies. Can't wait until the next chapter! |
