Hurray for plot, descriptions, timing, and realistic portrayal of characters (and taste as far as language and things goes :) Corrections: About a third of the way down chapter three ~McCoy had (better) check on his patient? Bigger correction: same chapter: references to when or before "we beamed down" ... they didn't. they took a shuttle. transporters are out. Hope that helps. Thanks for the story!
Radon65 2007-10-06 ch 5,	abuseThat was such a good fic! I thoroughly enjoyed it. Spock and McCoy were awesome and all the stuff that happened to them was very entertaining. Your writing was fabulous and you had such wonderful descriptions of the planet and all that was going on. It was so detailed! The ending was great - I figured out what was going on before McCoy did... - and I'm happy that everything turned out okay, of course. The part where the transporter beam flickered around them was awesome and very well done. I loved the way McCoy told Spock that he wasn't allowed to die without HIS permission! That was so funny...
Radon65 2007-10-06 ch 4,	abuseHmm. This chapter did get a little sappy. But you didn't drench it in syrup - it was only a little. I must say though, that the part about McCoy's 'blazing blue eyes' looking into Spock's 'clear brown ones' kind of made me sick. That was really sappy. But other than that, the sappiness was pretty well done and I liked the way Spock was pointing out all the individual stars with like no difficulty and McCoy was kind of happy to know what was what. I was very surprised that McCoy actually splashed Spock - he was acting kind of... childishly petty, I guess; that was a little weird - but Spock seemed to take it in stride. This was a good chapter. I love this story!

I just love the way Spock and McCoy are arguing - sort of, it's more like conflicting conversation with McCoy getting mad - it's really funny and the characterization is pretty good. McCoy got himself into a pretty good scrape and the plot is progressing nicely. Your descriptive writing is great. And I loved the way McCoy cracked up at his accidental pun! And then Spock's reaction...
Radon65 2007-10-06 ch 2,	abuseThis story is so amazing! What a great chapter! Your description is fabulous - I could totally imagine the rain and storm. I like the way the story is told from McCoy's point of view. You're doing an awesome job of it and I love your characterization! Spock's logic was great and I love how McCoy reacted to it. The low body temperature stuff makes sense to me. Best line of dialogue in the whole chapter - 'Spock! Where are you, you pointy-eared computer?'

Wilkes was cool while he lasted - I love the expression 'red-shirted, expendable glory' - and most of your characterization is very good. I can't wait to see what happens!

Ah, personally, Sulu's mysterious object story seems the most interesting. pauses for a moment And despite the fact that it's been, what, ten months since you posted this, on the off-chance you haven't decided yet, I'll just add my opinion to the melting pot. =D Great story. ...Oh, hmm. I don't know enough about Sherlock Holmes to be good at imagining the two together, but from what I know it would be a good story. So feel free to do that one too! grin ^-^;;

It's got me captivated and quite eager to click to the next chapter but I stopped to review. I'm a little curious as to why Bones is so anti-Spock though. Also, Bones is my most favorite character and I loathe all the slash I see. What the heck?! The slash aside you've got Bones down very well. Yea! -dances-
meckinock 2006-11-11 ch 1,	abuseThis is too cool! I followed the link from your LJ to find your fanfic. Star Trek (TOS) is the only other fan fiction I ever read, and not for several years. What a wonderful surprise to find this story! Spock & McCoy friendship stories are my absolute favorite. You did a wonderful job with this one - both their personalities shined through brilliantly in their ongoing banter, and the action scenes were extremely well done as well. I loved it that Spock gave McCoy the antivenin before revealing he had been bitten as well. I hope you write more like this. PS What's with the psycho strangoid reviews? Is this common in the TOS fandom? I've never seen anything like this before. Will the site not remove them if you request?
Midnight Topaz 2006-09-18 ch 1,	abuseThis will probably fall under Chapter 1 review, but it's really for the whole thing. You have the honor (dubious as it is... LOL)of writing the first ever Star Trek story to make me cry. Spock's near death scene was so moving. I really like the S&Mc element, there's not many of those stories out there. Excellent writing.

I suppose I could think of more ways to say "I liked it," but you get the point. And who doesn't have FCMS? :) Hmm...I would say that b) sounds the most interesting to me. Though of course it's entirely up to you. Keep writing! PS It's i-am-bug from back in the day. I'm not sure why I just wrote that, but I'm too lazy to delete it.
Fool Of An Elf 2006-06-26 ch 5,	abuseDon't worry about your FCMS--have you seen my stories? Poor Spock takes quite a thrashing. That said, I am so glad that there's someone out there writing good Spock angst!! And no slash, hooray! This is a fabulous piece of writing, and I hope you do more!
