First off, let me say that it is wonderful to find a story with Al/Martel interaction (or, actually, just a story featuring Martel-that's pretty rare).

Also, the idea that she became partly ectothermic after being turned into a chimera is clever and interesting twist I hadn't even considered. But it just makes sense that her natural systems would clash more with her invasive system than Dorochette's or Law's, their chimera halves at least being mammalian.

So, if I haven't been clear enough, please, please continue soon!
