Yeah, you messed up on the Japanese. I don't know much, but I can still point out the glaring errors. For one, "watashi," is technically gender neutral, but at Wallace's age it is very feminine to use such a formal pronoun, he would use "boku," if he was using a personal pronoun at all, they aren't used as frequitly in Japanese as they are in English. And "anata," is also very formal, he would probably use "kimi," if he was going to use a word for "you," at all. People in Japan don't use those as often either. Also "desu ka?" Is, again, rather formal, though I'm not sure on what sentence ending he would use. And "da yo," is probably more likely than simply "da," but I'd need to re-watch the movie and pay attention to his speech patterns.

You actually didn't get the part about "suki," meaning like wrong, though. It does, though it's often translated as "love," since people don't use "aishiteru," (which is the literal translation of " I love you,") that much.

And I agree that "Watashi wa anata ga suki desu," is cumbersome, so why not just shorten it to a simple "Suki desu"? You can replace the "desu" with a "yo," if you like, though both of these are feminine, and if you want your speech to be masculine, you'd best replace it with "dayo." If you want you can also tack on a "dai," at the begining. This is written with the same character as the first two mora of Daisuke's name, and means "large; big; great."

And I know probably made some errors in here, but in general I think it's pretty accurate.

Though I would like to ask, why is Wallace's Japanese so rusty in story?
