So, I don't normally read H/G or H/Hr stories but this one was absolutely amazing! I loved it! I only read the h/hr ending though as they were the two I wanted together. I'm glad Ginny and Neville got together in this too. Also most stories I've read don't go so many years after the final battle so I'm glad you done so because that really filled in quite a load of gaps. I love the relationship the elite DA became and how hogwarts changed! That was amazing! There are probably a million things I could go on about with how great this story is because there is only one thing I didn't like about it, and that's quite minor, it's snape. He is my favourite character so didn't like how he was represented as evil/creepy but realise this was necessary for the story in a way. Oh and Draco too, I know he's a jerk in the book but I like reading stories where he becomes nice, but once again it fit perfectly in this story so I guess I can't complain :) thank you for writing such a brilliant story!
I ended up thoroughly enjoying all three endings that you wrote for this story, originally I wasn't sure that I would considering Harry didn't end up with Hermione. The artificial insemination was a wonderful twist - a way to stay connected without being together physically. My question - what are Hermione's childrens names?
I loved the way you depicted each of the characters, but I was bothered by how Hermione acted in regards to Harry's feelings for Ginny at first. When they were in Florida, being such good friends, it's great that she was supportive of him, but there was the worry that she was putting herself through something unnecessary.
This was a great story. Interesting what you did with the multiple endings...I like this one the best...not only because it has the best ship (so I'm biased...) but Neville also lives. Everything was well written and I definitely see the character of hermione as being very close to cannon in the way that she would act in these situations. Same with Harry. All in all, well written story; I liked the references to outside literature/cinema as well.
The quote from HBP goes something like: "Hermione was dreadful and Ginny good, so they were reasonably well matched." I think this was intended to show Harry's Quiditch prowess and Ron's lack of the same.
This is just my interpretation and bares little consequence in your story. Well, maybe it does. I haven't finished it yet.
That was really intense. What a battle, it's too bad Harry couldn't call Fawkes to heal Charlie! :(
Poor Winky... your House Elves are really well done btw, Dobby's choice was ... well, it was Loyalty to the extreme, the epitome of House Elven dedication.
lol, in answer to your ? re: Harry & Ginny that is.
The ch. itself was once again really well done, another exercise in slow, gentle growth with plenty of love and smiles.
This growth, which has been almost exclusively (shown) between H&Hr is why I believe most everyone wants these two to be together, regardless of normal 'ship' prefs.
Quick comment on the vampires: it occurred to me odd at first that the populace so easily came to terms with vampire attacks. Then I realized that without a concurrent widespread DE attack, things really hadn't changed all that much - this is very much in keeping with how people in war-torn regions react... kudos.
ch. 11:
Also, in relation to this chapter, I have to say that I'm pretty much frustrated. As Harry gets closer and closer to Ginny I feel like Fred Savage in "The Princess Bride" as he gets so flustered when Humperdink marries Buttercup, and yes, Wesley IS indeed Dead. When he's looking quite ready to become Very physical with her in the RoR, it made me wince.
I stretch out my open palms, expose my trite feelings and admit: The idea Hermione with Blaise had me genuinely nauseated. Stomach clenched and everything. Maybe I need to get a life, but maybe you really have developed this relationship too damnedably well. Maybe both.
re: the end of ch. 11:
wow... well. wow. That was quick. I mean... I guess I can wrap my mind around Harry's position. It's a bit frustrating that he could go THAT balistic... and yet, because this leads him towards Hermione I guess I find myself accepting what I am not sure makes all that much sense in and of itself.
LOL, what a mess! And yet... pretty reasonably done. Has me a bit dizzy, but all'n'all, Harry is handling things well, and it makes as much sense as it can ... again, makes my head spin lol.
Loved the Dragon, Hurray Norbert!
Finally, the Ring of Power... NICE! Though, the necklaces' effect is ... interesting? :)
