But, what about Christine's singing voice? I suppose that will come later, but it seems rather odd that Erik's thinking of Vanessa's voice rather than Christine's.

So, are they going to play "Night on Bald Mountain" for the All Hallow's Evening ball? (It's the only vaguely Halloweenish sort of song I could think of. Although, after googling it, I suppose not as the version we're most familiar with is a 1940 variation of an 1880's version, both of which are too late for this story. Darn!)
