Sakura123 2008-04-06 ch 10,	abuseWOOT! Dude this was so awesome (and its the first Ultimate Marvel fanfiction that I found COMPLETED!). At first the summary had the question marks appearing overtop my head. I figured it was Phoenix up to no good and was wary of the melodrama, that usually accompanies the word "Phoenix", that would overwhelm the story. But, to my great surprise, this turned out to be a one hell of a grand adventure. I loved your character, Jack Robinson (Slayer), he was so full of awesome[!] and managed to stay away from the pitfalls that make OC characters unbearable. Characterization was awesome, I could totally imagine this as arc in UXM. The dialogue was sharp and witty, just like in the comics, I loved when Dazzler started singing Drowning Pool's "Bodies" (rock!). Warlord Xin kinda reminded me of the Shadow King - (was that intentional)? I almost cringed when Phoenix repeated the words "Becoming... Becoming..." -- I thought of "PHEONIX: ENDSONG" immediately. All in all, I enjoyed reading this! Keep up the good work! Sakura123

Agent-G is one of my favorite writers and when I saw him recommend your writings, I knew I had to check out your story. And DAMN! Is this one of the best X-Men fics I have ever read. Personally, I never touched the Ultimate X-Men fics, and only knew a thing or two from reading summaries here and there, but you changed my opinion. Damn, if they are any good as the way you portay them here, then they must be good. Plus, don't know if you know this, but the Phoenix had another alias according to this website I've read on the X-Men. It's other name, at one time, was the Phalkon; which made me want to read your story all the more. After all, everything has a yin to its yang, and the Phoenix has to have one as well. They way you portay it here, with Scott and Horus, pure genius! Keep up the great work, and now I'll continued and read the rest. Damn, you are good.

jenskott 2006-04-30 ch 10,	abuseAh, at last I can review. The end have closed efficiently the loose ends. I'm glad of Scott and Jean are now free of Phoenix and Horus and it's all right now. Your first Ultimate fic has turned out well. The stroy has been intense and the characterizations right. I think your new style -simpler and more direct- has worked right. And of course, I loved the Jott. I'm already anticipating your enxt project. By the way, you have written Evolution, Ultiamte and mainstream stories. Have you thought of making a movei fic, or the universe isn't appealing enough to you?

You did your usual thing and sent Phoenix and Horus to the heavens while Scott and Jean recover. And I still say Slayer's a bit more ealkative than he used to be, but what the hell, I thought it was funny. Great job, Slicky, and I look forward to the Evolution Phoenix Saga! Sil PS: Any chance Jean's gonna keep the Phoenix this time, hm?
Mark C 2006-04-27 ch 10,	abuseIt was something to see the Professor show up after the battle with Xin was over and he was ready to help both Scott and Jean out. As I guessed, there wasn't anything that needed doing and luckily, Slayer was able to supply the X-Men with answers. Both Horus and Phoenix were able to learn from Scott and Jean so that they could start their lives over. It was nice that both cosmic entities left their mortal forms for their journey and with the help of Slayer, they were able to do so. Once that was accomplished, it was time for Slayer to say his goodbyes to his new friends after he helped make sure that both Scott and Jean would be alright. I hope that this isn't the last we see of Slayer. A great ending to a great story.

Agent-G 2006-04-27 ch 10,	abuseHm not as open ended as I thought you were going to make it but still it was a nice way to end the story. This was definantly a decent story dude. Only 10 chapters but still managed to make a good full rounded story I should think. Well I know you're busy with finals so the next story won't be out for a bit but I still look forward to it.

jenskott 2006-04-25 ch 9,	abuseDon't you long for the days where the good guy and the bad guy argued about their different philosophies and goals amidst a fight, turning their battle in something more complex than a physical duel? I know I do it. And I have get it with fics like yours. The scenes of Phoenix and Horus trying to understand which was their purpose and the reason of their existence in our plane of the reality were really touching. Sometimes I wasn't sure of who were talking: them or their mortal vessels. The final scene was great, with Ororo going berserker on Xin's butt -Logan's influence is rubbing on her- and Cyclops -or should he get another codename?- and Phoenix returning in time for frying him. I'm waiting impatiently to see how you wrap everything up.
Mark C 2006-04-23 ch 9,	abuseSlayer and Warlord Xin really went at each other in this chapter and it was a back and forth battle. But Slayer got the upper hand in the end with the help of Wolvering and later Storm. I really liked that she was able to conquer her fears of Xin and attack. Ororo really needed to do that. It was good to see both Horus and Phoenix trying to figure what was going on out. With Phoenix sharing its mortal vessel longer, she was able to give Horus some insight to what was going on. Plus the connection/bond that Scott and Jean share was a big help to the final outcome. Through that connection and the one Horus shared with Phoenix, he was able to realize that love was all that was needed. I just absolutely loved the line you used from the Phoenix Saga, it was very appropriate here. Battered and beaten, Xin thought that he could fight again but Horus and Phoenix put an end to that. Now all the X-Men and Slayer have to do now is to deal with Horus and Phoenix. That should be interesting. Another wonderful chapter.

band20 2006-04-23 ch 9,	abuseNot a bad chapter, it was nice seeing the battle coming to a close. That battle scene between Slayer and Xin was a rematch I have honestly been waiting for. It was a nice battle too, it fit just right with the story. That moment with Storm though, I dont know if that would be a proper reaction for her. Then again it may be, but she definitely beat the crap out of Xin. That scene between Scott and Jean was great though it was a nice way to finish off the chapter. I cant wait for the next one to see how Slayer and the X-men deal with two immortal beings. Definitely going to be an interesting conclusion. Keep up the good work my friend and take it easy.
