A great story. Very good.

I just last weekend got into the Hornblower movies and absolutely love them. I do have to say that Pellew my favorite apart from Horatio himself. Archie and Bush coming in a close second of course. I really enjoyed the father/son relationship between Pellew and Horatio. I don't believe you mentioned the name of this great rescue but knowing a bit of the history is this where Pellew swam into the wreckage of the ship and attached a cable so the crew could escape?
Great story anyway. Can you remember any other really good Pellew and/or Pellew and Horatio story?

I just wanted to write a 'thank you' for your wonderful story! It read very true to the characters - which is hard to do with Pellew at times... :)
I've been a bit surprised that there's been so little fan fiction out there on the A&E series. Your story has eased the disappointment a little.

LOL. That was fantastic. I have to say I don't usually like to read stories in the first person POV, but you captured Pellew's character so well. It was just so... Pellew! lol. And what a lovely little scene! I thoroughly enjoyed reading that. It was such a feel-good story.

Oh, and is it just me or is the image of Kennedy, smiling from ear to ear, baging a pike against the bulkhead just too funny, lol...

I must say, your detailed descriptives (and the fact that you didn't leave Archie out^_^) had me totally captivated from the beginning!
One of the better, more interesting stories the Hornblower section has to offer!
