The reason that I couldn't save Gambit is that Valerie wrote a story called Pradox Law which takes place about ten years in the future. Remember,Something Sinister is written in Valerie's storyline. She was very gracious in approving the story and editing it for me.

I'm also glad that you left off right before the colapse. I mean I know this is a little AU, I mean Rogue's name isn't Tamara, but there are ways around Val's Paradox Law as stated in Betrayal, IF you or her don't write the story where Remy as Gambit is saved then I will dammit. Gr. I mean it could even be done in a one shot. Remy and Rogue's kids Renee and Cody could be needed in the future. And if Remy dissappears, then they definatly do as well. I mean, the only reaso that Rachel didn't was because she shifted to a new timeline. Cable is in the future right? He came back in the cartoons to stop Appocolypses virus by giving it to Logan. Not the nicest thing to do. As the paradox colapses in this story, it would effect the future, and he could come back and take Remi to the past, where he could have the child hood that was in the comics, it was a little different in some story's than what Valerie did, so problem solved...there are other ways as well. And you didn't really end it anyway...what do you mean "they entered the building for the last time" or does anything that vaguely involved Remy vanish from the past as well.

Don't get me wrong, I did like the story, I just don't think Remy should fade, even if he would live in the future.

Very good - I've really enjoyed the story and had to get the web site to read Valerie's stories that this was based from! Now if you and Valerie could maybe work together and let us know what happens after the paradox collasped it would be even nicer!

Remember, Rogue can access other mutants' powers. The reason that Remy can not access the portal is due to brain damage, but genetically he still has the ability which is seen in Betrayal. Toward's the end of Betrayal, when the truth is revealed, while Professor X and Jean are reliving the killing memories, Gambit accesses the portal while beiing telepathically probed. Remi doesn't have this problem in Paradox Law (Valerie's sequel to Betrayal.) In PL, Remi acceses the portal at will. Rogue has to be all right because she is in Paradox Law.
