So...I reviewed this fic before I created an account on and now I don't remember what I said before. Oh, well. I really love the symbolism and and sort of abstract aspects of your fics, I really do. You're such a powerful writer that you put the rest of the AF FF authors to shame. I mean, this ficdom(?) is degenerating in a depressing fashion on for the most part. This fic is an exception, it's so gorgeous in terms of imagery and poignancy. It has a dreamlike quality to it, but the emotions are really sharp. There is the question of who put her up to it. My first guess would be Root, but you never can tell. Anyway, congrats on an amazing job. I'd say it was your best one-shot/drabble, but who cares about a gushing reviewer?

The language is great; the structure perfect; yada yada, you're brilliant.

“No—I don’t want to die with his blood on my hands.”

I loved that section, and I wish I'd worded one of the Trouble - Holly interchanges like that in the original.
