It was very nice to have a fic with Ixion in, since Bahumut, Shiva and the others tend to get the most attention, and to get really cool and detailed descriptions of him like this was a real treat. After Valefor (another very ignored Aeon), he's my fave. I really loved Rikku's trail of thoughts too; it was in-character, funny (it's so typically Rikku to say things like "Okay, good. I hate being dead.") and generally really awesome.
