moon71 2007-06-09 ch 1,	abuseI do love this story (I've read it several times now!) - I'm a sucker for "missing scenes" in general, but I could really see this happening in the manga or even the anime. In the best possible way, it had the flavour of a scene from a rather zany (sorry I hate that word but I couldn't think of a better one!) rom-com! First of all it was really good fun - my favourite scene had to be Eiri's attempt at an ultra-cool James Bond style moment when he attempts to raise the convertible hood falling flat when it failed to function, with the rain and the hail following a close second. But the best part of this was the characterisation. Shuichi's first person POV is not that easy to do, or at least I don't see it done well that often - but I really thought you let him speak the way he would. He isn't constantly whining and he isn't completely trodden underfoot by Yuki - he varies from love to annoyance to dejection in quick flashes, just as he does in the original, and argues back when he feels Yuki is being unreasonable. I also thought you captured his insecurities and his frustation after the wedding business very well. It did seem around that time he was constantly battling enemies from all sides - first Eiri dumps him, then there's the Aizawa incident, then Eiri essentially dumps him AGAIN... and yet his spirit never remains broken for long. Your Eiri was very good too and so in character - he is bad tempered and cynical, but not actually nasty, and you've captured the wry sense of humour which always stops him being an unsympathetic personality. As to the Tohma bashing - well, I have a love-hate relationship with him. I've never particularly seen him as a jealous lover of Eiri or even as someone who was automatically against the Shuichi-Eiri affair; so far as I remember he openly supports it in the manga until Eiri falls sick and Tohma gets the blame from Mika, and in the anime again he tells a doubtful Mika he thinks Shuichi will do Eiri good, until things start getting extreme. But then again he isn't the most sympathetic character and is at times downright annoying (and his overprotectiveness of Eiri does seem to do more harm than good!) so it was good fun to see him take a bit of a thrashing! The final "carjacking" was priceless and it was nice to see Eiri actively defending Shuichi and their relationship for once!

He could make their lives a living hell... he'd better not or i'll kill him... or better yet.. give him to my friend who'll put him in bondage and rape him. ^__^ Great story!
