This story makes me sad, yet happy at the same time.

I empathize with Naruto a lot...being ignored is FAR WORSE than anything that can really happen to you. Being ignored means nobody cares...and that's the worst and most heartbreaking truth of all. Everyone wants to be loved. EVERYONE. And you know what's worse than people ignoring you? People that should care, but just turn a blind eye to what happens to you. That to me, says how much you REALLY mean to them.

This fic makes me happy because Team 7 has finally seen the true Naruto that he always hides behind a goofy grin and a cheerful disposition, and are FINALLY going to do something about it. Honestly, we need to see more of these fics, where the characters go through self-exploration and decide to help other people instead of themselves.

I really enjoyed this fic. It really makes you think and appreciate what you have now if you didn't have it before...so thank you for sharing this wonderful piece...and I'm happy that you found some friends that really care about you. :D

Aw, poor Naru! I feel so bad for him. I think you really got the emotion right, but I doubt the rest of the team would be that harsh. Kakashi would be slyer, slipping in comments Naruto really didn't understand, but knew were little insults. Sakura would freak out a little more, maybe hit him? Sasuke was near perfect, but he doesn't really put a name in each sentence-'dope, stupid, idiot.'
Other than that, I really, really like it. ^^

I liked this a lot, you wrote it really well! ^^ Great job :)

-scolds- Don't ever say that you don't deserve the friends you have or that you feel 'selfish.' If you really didn't deserve that love, you wouldn't feel as happy as you do now. As far as selfishness goes, everyone is selfish. Don't believe me? Just think about it. Even the person who gives every part of themselves to help others is doing so in part to feel good about themselves. I suppose the selfishness of those kind of people seems justifiable (and it is), but it's still there. It still exists. Even those types of people have done things they regret. I say that you should never worry whether you're 'worth it' or not or whether you're 'selfish' or not. Just be grateful for what you have, deserving or not. Besides, in the end, the people who seem to deserve love and support least of all are really the ones who need that love and support the most. Just be grateful for what you have, and those around you will be grateful to you.

P.S.-Sorry for the lecture (you probably know most of this, anyway). I just hate when people suggest that they don't deserve what they have. It makes my eye twitch.

P.P.S.-Believe me, I'm well aware that everyone has secrets that they're hesitant to tell about (even to friends), but if you ever find someone who really cares about you and who you really trust, you should offer them at least a peak into who you used to be. They won't dislike you for it. In fact, if they really care, they'll be happy just to know more about you. Again, sorry for the lecture. I'm in a philisophical mood today. -_-;

I really liked it and I loved the fact that his smile just got BIGGER the madder he got, it is a way some people deal w/anger grin and bear it type of way, but I also like the fact that he actually let them see what they were doing to him w/o him having to go postal on them...
