I really hope you continue this (I discovered it after reading (and reviweing) your 24/NCIS story). I love the idea, and really wish this is how things would have panned out. I also hope you lean more towards the Jack/Chloe side of things and not Audrey, she annoys the hell out of me.

PS; I love how you've written Bill Buchanan, it seems perfectly true to his character, as well as Karen and Miles.

This was fantastic! I loved that little moment between Buchanan and Chloe when he told her Jack didn't love her, and then she worried whether she was being obvious! Brilliant!

Are you going to continue this as an AU? Please do! I'd love to read more! This was really well-written, and I think you got all the characterizations spot on, especially Chloe. I loved the way she was convinced that it was enough if Jack needed her, even though it was kind of sad, and the way that Jack felt good being part of a team again.

For the record, I'm sorry if I nagged.
I really enjoyed this piece. Seeing things from Jack's POV is different than your normal stuff. But he is such a guy (the whole happy to be around Chloe so he can be part of a team). That's a good thing. In a piece that's fairly grim, their mutual oblivion to the other's feelings is amusing.

Hey! Nicely done! I loved this. But you have a very BAD habit of posting opened fics. It drives us all nutz. Sometimes loose ends are good, and it's cool to leave some things to the imagination, but one of these days I'd like to see one of your fics with an ACTUAL ending.

I think a sequel is in order for this one. Maybe a follow up to S5 following Jack and Chloe's actions.
