You can't stop there! I can really see Dean falling apart if he found out he was adopted and John wasn't the one to tell him. I think this story is very well rounded in both supernatural elements and also drama. Please end my torture and keep writing...

I'm really enjoying this story. It's nice to read one where Dean has had enough and takes off, leaving Sam thinking about how much he misses Dean. I notice it's been some months since the last chapter was posted; I do hope you continue with this story. Well done!

OMG what a great story this is! XD I really loved how the first part is mostly Dean's POV and then switches to Sam's POV and you got their dad involved.. yay! Really are the changes keep making this story refreshing and so very interesting. And now with the whole mansion/rich thingy and finnaly some demon bashing coming into sights. I can't wait to see where this story is going. Truely a versatile story if I've ever read one. ^^ I really can't wait for the whole reunition scene when it does comes, what an eye puller that's gonna be, I'd better stock up on my hankies. :P Ah well, I guess that's it. just wanted to let you know how goddamn beautiful this story is. You had me crying like a baby a few times... for all you make Dean go through. Especially, chapter 10 right about killed me. Not enough that he had to find out he was adopted while he always believed in his Dad, but he leaves everything behind, too. Even his only constant, his "baby":

Not the right person for this vehicle, his chariot, his unfailing unvarying
companion when no one else was around, everyone else kept leaving but she stayed,
she kept him company and gave him shelter when he needed it, speed and ferocity
when it was time for such. She treated him right, and he has always tried to do
the same, respecting her power and her beauty and feeling it, inside, that she
knew he did. And repaid him tenfold.

[...] It occurs to Dean that he should take the knife warm in his boot and slice
it across his wrist, scribble his name in fresh blood on the paper. It seems
appropriate, somehow. Better than impersonal ink.


And then later this - tore me up again:

Halfway down the block, another house identical to the one he's left behind, and
he stops and bends at the waist, fist pressed to his mouth. It's too much, go back,
give the guy his ** money back and drive away, for the love of God, it isn't
worth it, not this, too.
It was never yours. None of it.
He can't stop crying. But he puts his foot forward, follows it with the other,
stares without seeing at the sidewalk and the street corner and he will not look
back. He will never look back. His father taught him that.


Right now I finished reading chapter 13 but a little before that I looked at the end (that is there so far, ch. 22) and realised the story is not finished - yet. I really, really hope you're not leaving it like that, please update soon, or at least let us know that you will someday, okay?

Oh. My. God. I just love this fic – it’s so gritty in the way it tackles the subject of Dean’s adoption, and how each character’s voice is so clear and distinct and very much engraved in their characters on the show. There were moments of such clear descriptive narrative that the images felt as if they were being painted onto my brain, and I can’t tell you how delicious the feeling of being slowly drawn into the story was. It was like each chapter was a puzzle piece that painstakingly fits into this fuzzy whole, and you just know that the completed picture will be an experience of exhilaration.

And seriously, I just loved reading it – the words felt right, as if they fit, like a tapestry of gorgeous text.

I know this sounds a bit over the top, but jeez, I just love this. So vey much. Please write more, finish it, because it would just be too much of a shame to just let it float in cyberspace unfinished.
