Curses. This is the last chapter? Looks like you haven't updated in a while too. Oh well, if you ever return to this, I'd love to follow up on it. The story is very well-written so far and the characterization has been simply top-notch.

Ah, I think I will never be able to imagine another version of Hyourinmaru. Yours was too perfect to be anything but what canon must have been.

Interesting interaction between Hitsugaya and Hyourinmaru. Again, your account of it seems almost like a recreation from canon. And that was a compliment.

It might be frustrating to find out canon deviated from what you envisioned, but I would say yours predicted it amazingly well. A bit of differences here and there can be dismissed as AU?

I like Hitsugaya, but too few authors seem to be able to capture his character correctly. Yours is probably the best I've seen. Just the right amount of discontent with his own age without exaggerating the quirk. In fact, your Hitsugaya came across as somewhat distant to the reader just as he did in canon. Very believable.

That is suprisingly fantastic. Best Characterization I have seen in a bleach character yet.

I loved this chapter! (The others as well, but I haven't had the time to comment on them)^^ Your descrition of Hitsus fears as well as how he achieved Bankai was really good and I loved it^^

I loved the fight as well.

And I don't think you are obsessed, or if you are, then I am too, because I believe as well that there is some meaning to the Heavenly Guardian. A far bigger meaning than just the word. I believe that Hitsugaya and Hyourinmaru are not like the other Shinigami, they are something else, maybe even otherworldly, but CERTANLY NOT NORMAL^^

It was a great chapter^^ Thank you^^

greetings, Toushi^^

i personally feel that this fanfic is one of the best stories in the the entire site. it is powerful, intrigueing, facinating, and interesting all at the same time. you managed to pick apart several characters and peer into their very core while still staying true to the personality. ive reread this fanfic many times over, its that beautifully written. i hope that you still are continuing to write it.

A truly beautiful story. I love your style of writing, the insight into Hitsugaya is amazing. I'm actually liking your version of how Hitsugaya started the academy better than the cannon. Hitsugaya is my favorite charater in Bleach, and I don't think there are enough non-pairing stories of him. (Of course you can never have enough Hitsugaya XD) I hope you do finish this story. Once again, pure awesome!

For the past weeks this story has been making my lunchbreak and I just can't emphasize enough how much I enjoyed reading it.

It doesn't hurt that you picked one of the most intriguing Bleach characters to start with, but the way you have portrayed Captain Hitsugaya is wonderful and goes a long way towards endearing him even more to me for all his little quirks and weaknesses.

Watching his relationship with Lieutenant Hinamori - morph, for lack of better word - makes me feel immensely proud of him in the same way as it makes me sad. In fact, this seems to be a recurring theme in his life. Being special is mostly a burden, because it triggers either envy or awe, but rarely heartfelt sympathy.

Because I can relate to his feelings to some extent, this story really strikes me to the core. I love reading pieces like this that turn me inside out and leave me disoriented and numb after finishing reading them.

I cannot think of anything that might be improved about this piece of work, so I will just say 'thank you' for sharing this story with us and for taking all the time and trouble doing such painstaiking research and editing.

Since I'd love to know how your Captain Snow White is faring in his division, I'll add you to my author watch list and will be looking forward to any updates you might make, whenever this may be. From one research-obsessed author to another I completely understand the need to triple- and quadruple- check previous chapters and rewrite then, if need be. I'm sure the the results will be worth the work, so I don't mind waiting one bit.
