Hickock's story is so full of sadness and pain so it's really nice to read about a time when he was happy - even if it was only fleeting! Thank you for sharing this!!

another wonderful story broedy. i loved the character of melanie. i loved the short but wonderful love story of jimmy and melanie. when adam got sick i was bawling my eyes out. i literally had to stop reading and compose myself. i felt awful for melanie when jimmy didn't come for her. but he did give her a special gift that no one else could. you sure now how to write tear-jerking stories that you don't want to end. i hope you are planning on writing more. i will be keeping an eye out to see if there is a new story of yours. keep up the good work.
