Loved it.

You know, from the title and summary, I was thinking this fic would be about something completely different. And I was expecting it to be HitsuMatsu. But as much as I hate those two as a pairing, it was extremely hard to NOT want to just take a peek and see what this fic was all about.

Wow, this was completely the opposite of what was implied. How sneaky XD

Anyway, I rather enjoyed this ^^ I like how you write the relationship between Hitsugaya and Matsumoto. They sound like siblings when they argue, and I always imagined Matsumoto to be a sort of older sister figure to Hitsugaya. Not in the sense of needing guidance, but in the sense of family relations.

I *LOVE* this fic so much. It was such a great imagining of what their initial relationship was like, and I love how you mixed the humour, action, and some awesome characterization together. You nailed the characters. I'm particularly impressed with how you kept Matsumoto lazy and cheeky but had her kick ass as well. I find that Matsumoto is the lazy drunk who drives her captain crazy in some fics and a serious, ass-kicking vice-captain in others, and it's not often that someone merges the two. I love how she's dead serious here, but still skips out on work, manages to almost decapitate her captain and then joke about the one night stand. Hitsugayag's grumbling about that is *perfect*.

I always though they more or less hit it off when they first started, maybe Hitsugaya was annoyed, but Matsumoto didn't mind him, so it was interesting to read a fic where they both were annoyed with each other. You presented that so well that I almost saw it in anime form. Of course the fact that your fight scenes are so vividly written helps a lot. Plus the dialogue was fantastic (especially the part when they both agreed not to change their styles). I could see why they became such a great captain/vice-captain team.

Very amusing read this, and expected no lessafter the summary.

First thought that comes to mind is that them must have been some pretty tough hollows..

Apart from that, your characters were drawn brilliantly and the entire tenth was handled with "finesse" :P

And the entire atmosphere was chilly, wet and brooding.

Very nice work.. and i'll look forward to the rest of your Bleach things ^__^
