This actually comes closer to Haibara's sentiments about herself, Conan, and the cure than most Conan/Ai fanfics. I really enjoyed Ai's irritation and her cool, yet resistant introspection. "Saved by the bell," indeed. *grins* A bit too much hissing and heavy sarcasm; even when the two were alone in the beginning they didn't really act like that. She freaked him out in the street by pretending to have killed Hakase, sure, but it was all in good fun - for her. Other than that, it's a good short. Hope to see more CA from you in the future. |

She's not a cold, cynical **; I've never thought so (wow, I just used a semi-colon in a review. I WINZ!). She's had a rough life, and she's a very private person. Makes for an interesting dynamic between Shinichi/Conan's know-it-all-ness and Ran's open cheerfulness and Heiji's cheery impulsiveness and Gin's EVIL! I think that's one of the big reasons why we all love this show. So much in terms of character dynamics... Another lovely story, m'dear. And yay for back-burner projects! I'm looking forward to reading more of this, as always *purrs* |
