Piggy... Hmm, I don't think I remember him, but the descriptions were really good, and I could kind of see what he probably looked like (if that makes any sense).

Jack IS being mean. What's with him? Is he just being mean to her on purpose, or is he really THAT clueless? O.o Again, poor Syd. And then to top it all off, he up and 'goes for a walk', leaving Syd alone?

Touching entry. I liked the emphasis on her wanting to do something nice for Jack, versus feeling obligated to. It really showed how caring and thoughtful Syd could be.

I liked Syd's thoughts on Piggy. Nice update.

Good chapter. I think you convey Syd's frustration really well, and how her anger is affecting her ability to write.

Hm, in all honesty, I didn't see a reason for this chapter. Basically, Syd's saying nothing happened, and you've added another chapter for this. It also doesn't say much on how Jack is acting.

I do like it, don't get me wrong, but I feel you could have maybe combined it with the next chapter, to save a chapter and have more action in it.

Otherwise, I like how she's fuming about her birthday. Very Syd-like. Keep up the wonderful job.

Ouch, poor Syd. She really seems to think Jack has a thing against her, and reading this makes me wonder if he does. Her points are all valid, so why would he chose her?

She sounds like she thinks Jack's jealous. To be honest, I would have expected Sky to throw a fit over her birthday, ordering her to work, not Jack.

Poor Syd. It doesn't help that Jacks' acting like he's drooling over the Dr, and she's missing out on her birthday. *sighs*

Nice chapter. I found Syd's necessity to vent during the stake-out very funny. I like how she throws a mini-tantrum via writing in her journal.
