Everyone has said it all! This was fantastic! It was cute because Christian is just so darn innocent and passionate while it was hot by how you described their love for each other. Oh Christian! You depicted his writing passion so well. I really liked this because of the combo of again cuteness, hotness, and passion. Great job!

At the risk of being repetitive - I assume this is actually a crossover MR-Pillow Book fic?

In any case (and at the risk of "OMG I love your work!"...which I do) this vignette is wonderful (what else would I expect from you?) as your work always is, more overtly sexy and sultry than some of your other MR fics. (To borrow a phrase from a friend: "Rowr.")

Once again, it's the little details that anchor the emotions - flinging the paper out the window "the drama of them pleased them both" (I love that phrase by the way), the nib catching on rough skin, sweat and heat and ink and breath...and very importantly, catching the nuances, subtleties and contradictions. I was glad that you had Satine acknowledge a moment of fear or discomfort at being pinned down and having to remind herself that this was Christian and not a client. It's that sort of attention to emotional reality that lifts your work far beyond the ordinary.

I visited your website and found this posted there as well in the fic dump (actually I was hoping to forage around and find more MR fic there. *sigh* Oh well.) And I completely understand your reasons for avoiding ffnet lately. I feel the same - I'm just glad I have you on my author alerts, or else I might have missed this little gem.
