Hi. I have mixed thoughts about your story because I really liked Carter´s mom. Yes, she was selfish and didn´t want to suffer and left her other son...did she loved too little or too much? Every word in your story is...right, but I also think she was in pain too and I always wanted her to be vindicated. After season 8x14 I thought they had bonded and I also thought the divorce would make her wake up (I´m also a Mary mcDonnell fan so I´m sure this biases my feelings towards the character) so I really like your story and I find it true to John Carter...but I feel Eleanor Carter should have had a chance (she should have been at least mentioned during the miscarriage).
