Relatively depressing, of course, but realistic too. :) You have some really great lines in here: --"Frankly, I find it dumbfounding that you think your numbers are that good," she said off-handedly, caressing the word Baldwin embedded on the piano. --Her finger moved elegantly and seductively against the wood and he sighed, looking away and feeling that... thing that seemed to appear whenever Cuddy did or said something inappropriately sexy. --"If I didn't know any better, Doctor Cuddy, I'd say your spine is not going to last long if you keep kissing your own ** like that." I love how you use the piano too to break up the dialogue and add sensuality. This was a really great story. :)

bdavi 2006-04-12 ch 1,	abuseVery subdued piece. Very...intelligent piece. House and Cuddy were very in character and I particularly enjoyed that wistful air that House had. The way that the piano seemed to inspire good memories and bad memories. How it became his Vicodin. You portrayed Cuddy very well and her dialouge played off of House's splendidly. You managed to allude to a relationship without having to say a damn thing about it. I particuarly enjoyed the line where Cuddy claimed that "she was his muse" and how, without her, half of his cases would have ended in failure. I'm a sucker for oneshots and you managed to get me right where it counts. Keep up the excellent work and I hope to see more stuff from you in the future. BD
