I don't know what I would do if I had to see one of my brothers ride off into battle and they said I couldn't come with them. You really showed how much Peter really cares for Lucy, I liked that. I also really liked Edmund in this story. He was the one who really beat some sense into Peter and supported Lucy as well. This was an amazing stoy, great work!
Kelev 2007-10-25 ch 4,	abuseThis was nice, I like the reaction of Edmund's being in complete contrast to Susan's, though I think Peter's anger level was a bit out of character, as it is hard for me to picture him so mad he wanted to punch Edmund for defending Lucy's side of the story.

It makes no sense to me because I have you on author alert and I'm sure if I saw your name in my inbox I'd click on it right away. If I were not so mad at myself I'd devote even more time to fuming over this. Instead I am just going to review :P As ever, your writing is lovely, and I have no quibbles with your form at all. I love the touch of Peter's gift to Lucy; it's an acknowledgment of her desires and his concession to them, bless his dear, protective heart. Even when you want to strangle him you just can't help wanting to kiss him, can you?! :P You capture that so perfectly; even when he's being awkward, he somehow still managed to be Peter, and I can't put my finger on how you get that across, but you do, and I adore it. Again, the whole author alert thing ... I dunno what's up with that. I don't even know who to ask to look into it. But meantime, know that I do love this and am so happy that I did wander back and find out what a dolt I'd been to miss it :P
Hannah 2007-03-19 ch 4, anon.	abusei really, really loved this story. i have read all the chronicles of narnia approximately a million times, and lucy and peter have always been my favorites, although i really like the edmund you portrayed here. you're true to the books without being limited by them. i think you're right about the ending needing work...not sure how you'd go about adding to it, though. it just seemed a little abrupt after the smooth flow of the rest of the story. perhaps you could insert a few lines between them cuddling and lucy not being able to bear losing peter. overall, a lovely story. thanks for writing it.
