Nice chapter, very strange, engaging, vivid, and interesting. I like the way you write all the characters, they seem very fun and fresh. Your initial descriptions of Sirius and Remus were especially good.

However, I must say I feel sorry for Snape- he's been one of my favorite characters, ever since my little sister created her crazy-awesome fan character M.C., a bizarre, dimension-hopping girl with an inexplicable crush on Snape.

I am very impressed with this story. You're writing style is addictive and everyone is in charater. I know you wrote it before OotP, but I can't help wincing at the cannon erors. Not your fault though. I'll read more as soon as I can.

Onto the review! I really enjoyed getting the interogation of James and Sirius, enjoying it so much, in fact, that I felt a little cheated when we didn't get to see Remus's. *pouts with lower lip out slightly* I mean, I guess for purposes of the plot...

I haven't finished "The Hobbit" yet, but I'm enjoying the picture of Lily reading that to the Gryffindors. That sounds like a cosy night - probably far better than what the boys are going to have!

*slaps forehead with palm of hand* I only *just saw this now* - FLETCH WAS CAUGHT BY OUR LITTLE LOT OF EVIL CHILD KIDNAPPERS THAT DAY THEY FOUND HIM BY THE WHOMPING WILLOW! *shakes head in amazement* I feel like such an eejit for not seeing that before... Am I right about that? Was it that obvious that everyone else saw it? *reddens* Interesting!

Back to the boys, I think the way they escaped by running once Mind-Reader stumbled upon Remus's little piece of information was a little anti-climaxical... but OH! I was just about to comment on the Forest when I realised. Is that why they were allowed to escape? Yes, I am a little slow on the uptake...

First part done! Now I can sort of see where the plot is going, although when they first escaped I was a little confused... I thought that might have been the climax...

Poor Lily. I could feel her frustration. I think the interaction with her and the adults worried over Severus was very realistic and well done. Of course, I think just about the whole thing was well done!

So again, job well done. Your dialogue is endearing and narrative good, and the trains of thought easy to understand. Good luck with the next part.
