Profiterole 2006-07-10 . chapter 1Ohtori is OOC, but let’s say it’s an AU, and a good AU at that, since Yuuko and the other xHolic characters are in it. :-) I like this story very much, especially the part where Ohtori plays the violin for Yuuko. Also, ToriShishi is love! ^_^ |
Ame Mika'zuki 2006-04-23 . chapter 1wow... wonderfully written... and the music!! rather, the atmosphere when Ohtori played the violin... you captured it perfectly! it was like listening to it and not being able to listen to it at all... @_@ [ok, confusing or what?! > |
Hikagi 2006-04-17 . chapter 1Simply marvelous piece of work! |
Ammeh 2006-04-17 . chapter 1Nicely written, but the canon is a little...off. If you insist on using all this Japanese to make it seem more "in Japan," wouldn't Ootori be a bit offended that this woman he had never met is calling him by his first name? Or does the fact that she magically knows it psychically somehow give her the right to use it?
Incidentally: Ootori actually isn't Christian, something not many people know in the English fandom. It's a question in one of the extras books, he just wears the cross because he thinks it looks cool. Japan has a very different viewpoint on religion from what most of us are used to--it's okay to just pick and choose traditions you think are cool. People often have Shinto weddings and Buddhist funerals, or have a Christian wedding ceremonies and then pray at a Shinto shrine for happiness in their new marriage, that sort of thing. It's not important to identify as a particular religion; no one really cares. It's like...religious buffet! It's spiffy. |
