No, your writing from Remus' point of view definitely doesn't suck! I think you have written his psychology very well, he's calm and not emotional inside and out, not like he is often written - as being savage and angry inside but covering it up. I like this way. It feels more canon.
It's good how you make Tonks and Remus interact, very natural...like when she asks about marriage and he thinks she means to him, but when she says she doesn't mean that, he isn't embarrassed or anything...
I'm babbling. So - in short, cool story, I like it!
