I know you say this and one other of your HP stories is abandoned, but is there ANY chance you might turn the car around and pick these lovely stories back up off the freeway?
I know the chances are probably somewhere between zip and dividing by zero, but I had to ask.
Either way, great job on both.
And if you EVER pick this series back up, maybe write continuously only until the end of Harry's first year and then switch to year by year snap-shots to show how their relationship develops until either this turns into a slash (yummy...) or Harry abolishes slavery.
It may be a bit quicker to write that way at least.

FROM THE DESK OF HARRY POTTER:
8AM- Breakfast
9AM- Quiditch practice
11AM- Fight with Malfoy
12PM- Awkward lunch with Sevvy-poo.
3PM- Defeat Moldy Voldy. (NOTE: Fit in at least half of the 101 way to annoy Voldemort!)
4PM- Heartfelt reunion with family/friends/Sevvy. Also, Press Confrence.
5PM- Lock Minister within office and force abolishment of slavery. Should resistance be provided, send in Hermione in lecture mode.
5:10PM- Inform Snape of freedom
6PM- Eat dinner
7PM- Watch next episode of favorite show.
10PM- Go to bed.
11PM- Wake up with Severus in bed for some reason. (score!)
