This is a thing of beauty, not only for how well it flows but for how completely you've captured the character. It's easy to get lost in Orihime's oddities or her crush, but you've taken her as a whole and caught the sum total of her essence like a mosquito in amber, perfectly preserved. She's walked a hard road and that gets her down sometimes but she rises again every time, like the sun.

I'm not telling you anything you haven't already put into stunning words, so let me say this: You have done a splendid job. Bravo

This story got me a little teary-eyed. Beautifully written, and you did a good job at capturing the "other" side of Orihime that isn't all smiles and quirkiness.

Absolutely beautiful. Your characterization was spot on and shows Orihime is a lot deeper than the 'ditzy'/ happy go lucky girl shown. I hope it this mature side is shown later on in manga and anime to develop her further. Great writing and thanks for this wonderful piece. :)

You made Orihime insightful instead of ditzy, which makes a nice change from her usual depiction in stories. You always look beneath the surface of characters, and it's why your stories are so exceptional.

This is absolutely fantastic. This is exactly how I see Orihime and I think you've captured her voice and her entire character, actually, perfectly. A mixture of seeming weakness and subtle strength overlaid with endless compassion and optimism.

So perfect. I have to add this to my favourites. It was so well-written and so true to such a complex character.

Amazed with the depth of this and the way the easy flowing prose eddies and swirls deeper and deeper around one of my fav Bleach characters.

Wonderful exploration of Inoue, vivid and focused.. the perspective is her's even if the the focus wanders.. and even that is an additive to the prose.

There is also an odd strength to this that plays off against physical weakness and an idea of being less than, but happy with. Loved the crests in the thought process and the way nothing is lead out but simply accepted and smiled upon.. ugh, not making any sense am i? hehe

I usually like things short cos I haven't the time to read chapters that are too long. But I chanced upon yours. Actually, I chanced upon your Hitsugaya's story, which I have yet to read. But I fell in love with the way you wrote after reading a few paragraphs.

So I came here, to read about Inoue (cos it seems short enough for me to finish before I have to go back to reading my school materials). Your work reminds me a lot like that of John Irving. Nearly a little eccentric with its light tone but heavy sentiments.

This was definitely moving and real. Perhaps because I liked the way you portrayed her thoughts and her relationship with the people around her. That she find strength from the people around her, creating a reason for her willingness to engage in this battle that she had no reason to enter in the first place. It was real. Very real. Movingly so.

A very touching story. It shows there is more to orihime than her flaky good natured self.

With the latest manga developement, Hitsugaya staying with Orihime in the same room (roommates, not housemates)...there are bound to have some HitsugayaxOrihime romance hints later. Orihime isn't all about Ichigo.
