  cerberus 2008-08-12 . chapter 1 I loved it, I've been trying to read the entire series recently, and it was at least as great as The Lost Dragon and Skade were. i'm not actually a member on this site, so i don't know if anyone will see my review, but this fanfic series is the best i have ever read (exaggeration not intended)

You have achieved the pinnacle of fanfiction: you have surpassed the source material. I can't believe it.
In Eragon, when Brom died, I thought "OH NO! ...Oh well, now Eragon's met this Murtagh guy, he sounds interesting..."
In this story, when Vidar died, I recoiled and mentally shouted "ERAGON, YOU _MONSTER_!" I didn't do that to the Ra'zac. I'm usually charitable to Eragon. But you made an ORIGINAL CHARACTER (something I always previously associated with slight Mary-Sueishness) come alive. No, you made ALL your original characters come alive. That's IT! You should write the next Eragon book, instead of Paolini! You're FAR better than him... I have seen the face of the Fanfiction God, and read its name, and the name of the Fanfiction God is Opifex the Singer.
I was actually AFRAID when Skade was going to be excuted. I hissed and snarled at Eragon when Galbatorix was being tortured. Galbatorix! Admittedly, Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken made me quite partial to Dragon-Human pairings (and so I saw this twist coming a mile away, although I haven't read Skade), but I truly cared about their love. Heck, I cared about the loves of the two SHADES! Are you a professional writer? *checks website* You are. I will now bookmark your site and... completely admire your work.
The Anti-Shur'tugal community led me to recognize your penname when I saw it, though I was admittedly skeptical about how good your work could be. DARK ELVES? I was thinking "Bloody Drow Ripoff", but it seems not. Eragon-as-psycho? YOU pulled it off. Completely sympathetic Galbatorix the hero? (Well, semi-antihero.) Beautifully done. Heck, you MADE THE SHADES interesting characters. And the Dragons! THE DRAGONS WERE AMAZING! *wipes foam off of mouth* Truly. This is the BEST fanfiction I've ever read... I thought that Dark Pokemon fanfiction that I read was the best, but no, you're better. In fact, I now feel horribly guilty that I was able to read something of this quality for free.
Murtagh joined of his free will? I can believe that - the 'binding' was just to appease Eragon, I suppose... Galbatorix is GOOD? I think you took every wish of the Anti-Shur'tugal community as far as what the Eragon series COULD have been, and made it so. I'm sorry if this is a rant, but I truly love this story...
2:59 AM. I think I'm ranting. =) Anyway, I love your story so freaking much... and you know something? Right now, I think that when Empire or whatever it's called comes out...
I'll look at the cover, note how pretty it is, read it... and pretend that it's a ludicrously inferior but certainly well-spellchecked fanfiction off of your work here...
And then go back to read this, so that I can remember what the characters are like when that Paolini fellow doesn't have them ragingly OOC. Galbatorix, a mindless tyrant? Ridiculous! It's always so odd to find these maniacs that bash the GOOD, COMPLEX characters and praise the lunkheaded semi-villians... And how could the wretch ignore Skade and her family? GAH! >:( :).

That has to be, without question, the longest oneshot I have ever read!
And it's really good, too. The stuff about "Galbatorix is not evil" really makes sense and I like the way you write your stor(y)(ies). Only some paragraphs are too long, but that's just a minor detail, anyways.
