I have liked your story so far, but wanted to point out that though Princess Mononoke is ficitonal it takes place roughly 500 years ago. It was around that time that the gun was first introduced to Japan by the Portugese and was also called the "Warring States Era" (as depicted by the fighting Ashitaka passed on his journey away from his village). During this time there would have been no knowledge of Voodoo (since Japan was closed off to all outside influences until Cmd. Perry sailed in the mid-1800s and forced them open) and also they sleep on futons on the floor, not beds on a frame. Was all that something I would expect you to know? Not at all, just wanted to let you know. Do I expect you to make the changes? No, you write a story and decide how you like it or not bothering to change anything after it's been finished. Sorry about being anal :-).
Again, I do like your story and how it's progressing so far.

may i say i love this story and i cant wait for the seguel i totaly love your writing style and you make everything so easy to understand and i love the torment between Ashitaka and San its so believeable and is true to their characters and i bet she was about to say she was in love with him when they were fighting after leaving the fist time am i right?

A wonderful continuation! Much better than some I've read...I cannot wait for the next chapter. I just wonder, is Liseji trustworthy?

From eleven chapters down, I'm glad that the focus has narrowed. As much as there are still a lot of characters you're bringing in and newer settings, at least the pace has become comfortable and when I read the story I feel like I'm where I was meant to go right from the beginning.

So, nice work on these latest 2 chapters.
