| Blue-Inked Frost 2006-04-23 ch 1, | abuseI love this fic, Scarab. :D Lady DuLac came across as an excellent OC (who I think would be a more threatening adversary than her son :P ), intelligent and resilient and unscrupulous and at the same time imperfect and vulnerable. And Staffhead was right on characterisation target. It's great to see him getting some time in the spotlight with his smarts and powers. The descriptions, like the frozen pepper, were wonderful, and I ADORE the whole atmosphere of falling aristocracy that you conveyed really well. And the history of Zoar that you inserted was also really interesting; I love it when writers give the Sixth Dimension a bit of depth. Definitely going on the Favourites list. |
