Very good. I would suggest paying more attention to the grammar, but that's about it. When I read this story I almost "see" the characters from the anime. And that, to me, is a sign that you are doing it right. Keep it up.

Well, the gangs all here and getting to know each other. Now I am ready for some action. Who is Kenshin's assignment? Why is he still trapped? He has the x-scar under that band-aid, correct? I think he already met and lost Tomoe, so why no non-killing vow?

I like how you were able to work in the "dono". I forgot to mention that. It is nice that it stuck at least for a bit. This Kenshin is definitely not shy, just the strong, silent type so he's definitely a match to Aoshi in that respect.

I like the idea of Aoshi and Kenshin as brother in arms helping each other get through their physical and emotional traumas. I also like the idea that Kenshin has obviously done something self sacrificing for the Oniwaban. It is sad to think that he is still trapped into a violent life.
I found the scene at the bar pretty amusing. Kenshin is pretty remote her but not truly cold. I like the way he is just sort of detached and above most of the activities but he jumps right into to protect if he sees a need.

Interesting, I get the feeling that Kenshin is still living the assasin's life but perhaps Aoshi and Okina are out of the spy trade.

seems kenshin is only comfortable with aoshi and misao because of working together and developong mutual trust.

i am assuming he's going to develope feelings of comradery for the makeshift eclectic 'family' he was thrown into.
