omg that is so true! it really does make us wonder what his family life must have been. you forgot to mention that ino's father is a drunk also. just thought i'd mention that as well. i still remember the episode with the origial ino-shika-chou at a bar i think it was, and shikamaru being sent to take home his father. that was hilartious! lol i really wonder why shikamaru is the only one in the series with a seen mother and father? maybe kishimoto likes shikamaru...or needs someone to whoop shika's ass in gear, and to explain where he got his laziness...lol
