That's our good smart Tonks, brewing that potion for Remus. I do wish Snape wasn't so nasty. It angers me that he's such a crummy teacher. If I acted like that at school I'd be sacked quick as anything.

I really respect that Remus and Dora aren't going at it like rabbits, but are instead enjoying snogging. Gives hope to those of us who make similar choices.

Oh, my God! *squeals* That was so cute! Tonks is brilliant and it’s hilarious that Snape agreed to tutor Tonks to drive Remus mad and to risk killing Remus. You’ve got Snape’s character down perfectly; that agreement is so Snape. I especially loved the ending, when Tonks shows Remus the Wolfsbane ingredients. Bloody hell, that was absolutely priceless. And the way Tonks talked to Remus and let him know that she and Sirius are actually the ones returning his favors…Aw, it was just lovely!

grr, still no author alert for this, but i took the initiative to find it myself, as i was just that twitchy to find out how it all played out.

so! lovely stuff as always. ahh, the mention of sirius and remus making up in their male way, that was fun. and also talk of his jealousy... i think remus' decision not to tell him that they hadn't consummated their relationship yet was a VERY smart move - i can just see sirius getting all teasing/snarky about it, and that would just drive a person crazy, even lupin with his endless patience.

speaking of patience, i liked tonks line about her being so when she wanted to be. i enjoy that about her - her appearance probably doesn't suggest it, but your interpretation of their relationship really exhibits that part of her. which is great, because i think remus needs that - he's a bit slow to process things, like the fact that somebody could actually have feelings for him, so it'd obviously be vital for said somebody to be able to wait things out.

oh! your comment about the rest of the marauders becoming animagi really struck me - i can't believe i didn't think of that. if remus was willing to let them go through all that trouble for him (certainly more dangerous and time-consuming than learning a potion!), why not let tonks do the same? honestly, that man and his sense of martyrdom and morals and such. it's good that tonks doesn't back down at all - remus is so passive-aggressive that he really needs somebody to take charge once in a while. and the dirty part of my mind has now started thinking about tonks the dominatrix. ;)

ah, and you incorporated your 'snape has a thing for tonks' theory! interesting. i like how it threw lupin for a bit of a loop, actually - which is completely realistic. tonks' reasoning that snape probably only agreed because it would take her time away from remus, along with the possibility of her poisoning him is also realistic - and probably very likely that's what prompted his 'generosity'.

and hey, the bit about the price and not asking molly to let him repay her for yarn and such - loved it, of course - glad remus was dumbfounded by that! :)

and i really like how it all wrapped up at the end. tonks' line about remus being a giver and learning to take was SO spot on, i adored that. and her name... yeah, i think he'd be the only one able to get away with calling her that, it's so sweet. lovely, lovely stuff, as usual. that last line really tied it up nicely, i've got a happy grin on my face now. thanks! and finally, that wraps up my rambling review. :)

I enjoyed all of this, as you know, but this third part is my favourite by far. I can so vividly imagine Remus frowning slightly as his mind tries to cope with the concept that Snivellus could be after his girlfriend for either a snide reason or a absolutely horrifying one. And being happy when it's the mean reason!

Whether it's Tonks explaining very carefully and patiently to Remus that it's really, really okay for him to accept gifts (while straddling him, LOL), or Remus switching the charm on at the end with his use of 'Nymphadora,' it's just a pleasure to read. And I do get a kick out of seeing something we've discussed worked seamlessly into a story. :)

And it's just so OBVIOUS that Remus would have great hands, LOL. You see someone got the joke! ;)

Oh wow! What a brilliant ending... and I understand now! I get it! I realise why Tonks and Lupin got together... (sorry, I can be EXTREMELY slow at times)

Anyway, fantastic ending... I can even see the roots of why they split up - was it to do with Snape, and the potion? Are you planning to write more in this series? (*big puppy dog eyes*)

Even though he's not actually in this one, I really liked Sirius' presence. Of course he wouldn't understand why they haven't shagged yet (and would proabably be quick to get on with a bit of merciless teasing), and I really liked the idea of the two of them making up in a totally blokey way. And I don't think he over-reacted in the previous chapter - Sirius to me is always a bit of a drama queen.

I really liked the way Tonks managed to get around Remus' objections about the Wolfsbane - equal parts reasoning and seduction (which, one suspects, he would nearly always fall for). I also liked how, even when he knows he's backed into a corner and she's right, he's still looking for some way not to accept it. I thought that was particularly well done.

And the ending was perfect - with him all love-struck and almost believing that she might feel the same, but not quite willing to believe it yet. Very sweet.

Oh, and thanks for the image of Saucy Skulking Snape. Am now picturing him, in drag, in a dark corner of the kitchen, with one hand on his hip and a coquettish expression. It's the stuff of nightmares.

Am looking forward to more (although I've no idea what that might be!).

So, I've been reading your work for a while now, and I love it. Really. Positively some of the best Tonks/Lupin I have ever seen. Just curious though, are you rewriting all the Transfigured Heart series? Or are you adding new ones at odd intervals inside the existing series? I read the entire series, but that was about 6 months ago, and I can't remember what I've read before. Sometime in the future, when I have the time, I'm gonna read them all again, but that won't be until summer. But I'm going to keep reading everything new or revised you put up, no matter what else I SHOULD be doing. Your work is just that important. Feel very special.
